Chris Hesse Represents Officers After Fatal Shooting in Stratford

|

The Texas Rangers are conducting an ongoing investigation into an officer-involved fatal shooting of a criminal suspect in Stratford last month. Two officers reportedly discharged their firearms towards a suspect’s vehicle, fatally striking the driver. According to some eyewitness testimonies, the suspect’s vehicle was attempting to flee the scene after being pulled over by the officers. A second suspect was taken into custody but no names have been released to the public yet.

Early news reports from the region discuss how the people of Stratford are worried over the incident. Since the details are unclear at this point, there is the possibility the two officers could be accused of misconduct or brutality.

In order to ensure the situation is not misconstrued with speculation and the rights of the two officers are well protected, Attorney D. Chris Hesse of The Law Offices of D. Chris Hesse in Amarillo is working with the officers. Chris Hesse was actually able to respond to the scene only shortly after the shooting occurred. While there, he was able to talk with the Texas Rangers and consult with his two clients, the Stratford Police Department Officers. As aforementioned, the Texas Ranger investigation has not yet been completed and so Chris Hesse’s involvement will continue. He is dedicated to upholding the truth and showing his clients acted well within their expected duties as police officers, who are instructed to fire upon a suspect who poses an immediate danger to the officers or the public.
